Outcome

Right, but late Happened 1 January 2025.

In 2009 drones played a growing role (Predator/Reaper strikes in Afghanistan and Pakistan), but the Iraq and Afghanistan wars were fought mainly by ground forces and manned aircraft, so warfare was not "dominated" by them; Kurzweil's own "Correct" grade is generous. Drones did come to dominate the Russia-Ukraine war, causing an estimated 70-80% of combat losses by 2025. That makes this late, though most of those drones are remotely piloted rather than "intelligent", and the estimates come mostly from officials.
