By late 2025 Amodei reported that about 90% of code at Anthropic was written by Claude, and that figure is itself disputed. Industry-wide figures were far lower: Microsoft reported 20-30% and Google about 30% in April 2025. A weaker, firm-specific version happened, but AI was not writing 90% of code generally by September 2025. Scored partial rather than accurate for that reason.
